Christmas is to the aborigines as what Chinese New Year is to us.
I have been interested in the ways they celebrate Christmas for a long time.
It was a long-awaited travel for more than ten years.
Fortunately, and gloriously, we were invited to enjoy the Christmas of WangXiang(望鄉) village this year.
The celebration began with the BBQ of three mountain pigs in the evening.
More than three hundreds of visitors had come to this village.
The prime activity was a march starting at 3:00a.m..
The marchers were led by the village chief, who held a torch.
The village chief passed the fire to the master of each house along the way.
And then the master of the house would pass the fire to the members of his family and also his guests.
It means that he wants to pass his blessing to everyone.
Almost all the people added to the contingent and went around the stadium of the village.
There was a firework show at the end.
After the celebration, we slept in three camps set up by our host.
At about 5:00 a.m., an accident happened.
A fire ball fell upon our camp.
Our sleep bags caught the fire immediately.
I was awakened by the sound of screams made by Hsu-fen, who was sleeping next to my camp.
And then we put out the fire together.
After the shock, I managed to have a good sleep.
But Hsu-fen and Yu-han had a sleepless night.
By the way, our class-leader slept very well since he got dead drunk
The next day, we went to DongPu, which was a village with hot springs.
At first, we hiked to the Rainbow Waterfall.
And then we enjoyed the hot spring.
As a matter of course, the leader arranged a delicious lunch for us to end this travel.
